aimpoint red dot scope

I have an Aimpoint red dot scope on my shotgun and I really like it but I wish it had about 2 power on it. Is there any way a different lens for magnification can be added to it? I emailed Aimpoint but haven't heard from them yet.

I e-mailed and left Aimpoint a message about this and no reply. If I emailed them about buying a new scope they probably would return my call or email.

I have a CompC 2x. It's basically just a CompC with a 2x lense screwed into the front. I don't think they ever offered the 2x lense as a separate product and they have now discontinued all of their 2x models.

A lot of people with AR15s are now using the magnifiers that mount behind the Aimpoint.

There are several companies making magnifiers to be used with red dots such as aimpoints. These are really seperate optics mounted behind your current sight in there own mount.
Most of the mounts have some sort of quick release, or flip to side capabilities so you can still quickly get back to the 1x sight.

A quick google search for AR-15 Magnifier will get you headed in the right direction. Most are going to be in the 3x range I believe.

I found a few companies that sell the magnifiers and they are more expensive than my Aimpoint 9000SC scope. I have found an old forum where they talk about a PO BOY special from LaRue Tactical but are no longer available. Cheaper than Dirt used to sell them also. They are H & K Hensoldt Range Finders with a 2.6 magnification and where very cheap. If anyone knows where I can get one let me know. Thanks

Primary arms is a company who has gotten good reviews on the products they sell. Here is a LINK to there magnifiers. 150$ for there 3x and a mount.

I know alot of guys where also using airsoft mounts & magnifiers to help cut costs. Since its only magnifing and not needing to hold a zero I dont really see a problem with that.
Heres a hit I got on google for "flip to side magnifier airsoft". http://airsoft-club.com/shop/aiming...x-fts-magnifier-scope-with-flip-to-side-mount

I would research the different airsoft brands as well as the shops selling them before I spent anymoney with them though. I could see how those products could be real hit or miss.

Thanks, MTNKID. I found a new magnifier but still need a mount so I will check the link you have posted. I also lokked at the LaRue mounts but they weren't sure what one I would need with my Aimpoint 9000SC so I'll have to take some measurements when I get the magnafier on Monday according to the tracking #. Thanks again, Dave
