I just purchased a new Talon SS Precharged air rifle and put a leapers 4 X 16 Illuminated AO scope on it. This is the one with the shrouded barrel that reduces the noise level of the gun. It will shoot 20gr. 22 caliber pellets at 800fps. With the optional 24" barrel that number goes up to around 950 fps. This will be a fairly serious air rifle that should easily take crows at 50+ yards. With the 24" barrel it might even handle a fox at 25 yards with good shot placement. I don't plan to try that though. Too much chance of wounding the animal. I am hoping to thin out the crows where I live without making too much noise. I have problems with raccoons in my boat house so I may give it a try on them at very close range. Has anybody at PM had any experience with this rifle?
