Almost turkey time

I leave next Friday heading down to South Florida for opening day of turkey season. I used our break between hunts today to check zero on the turkey gun and try out some new shells I’d gotten last year.
I think these will work! Apex Greenleaf 20ga 1 5/8oz 9x10

Here in Colorado, just South of Denver, we have some gobbling and strutting going on with the neighborhood birds.

Still a month away from the season opener.

Took off half a day Friday to help burn and we burned today as well. Turkeys are already using them. Saw a group yesterday after checking one of the burns. No optics but I know of one for sure gobbler and a dozen or more hens.
Spotted 2 gobblers and 2 jakes together this afternoon and went to check the burn we’d burned just hours prior and spotted 4 gobblers and half a dozen hens.
All this is North of the creek that divides the property. I know there’s at least 2 gobblers in the back because I saw them the last time I went to check for pigs.
Should be a fun Georgia season.

Good hunting and good luck!

Here in Ohio, the turkey season doesn't open until April 19th. I'm looking forward to it and recently purchased a new shotgun, just for the purpose. (y) I'll have to get out and pattern it, to see what kind of killing patterns it will produce and a what yardage. I'm sure it'll be a fun season.
