Did not think I would ever have a set like this in my life. 4th set of the night.
I was about 50yds from the old barn I was going to set up at when they lit up to my South from up the hollow and were answered to my West about 200yds by a single. I could see the single, but he was only about 70-80yds from a house. I got set up and put the call about 50yds to my East and hit a bird distress. Scanning towards the single first (he was gone before I set the call out) then panning left I see a whole gang closing fast. Get in the gun and bark. As I am lining up on one, I see a head in the bottom of the scope so move to it. DRT. I start to kiyi and before the chaos is over, I am almost out of breath.
About 1-1/2 min after I shoot at #4, I am scanning the woods line to the East and one comes back and sits down. I reposition the gun and think, "did I shoot 4 times or 5, is there a live round in the chamber". So, I slowly work the bolt back while my finger is in the port to confirm a bullet in the case and shoot it.
As I am gathering the dead for the pic, I see the 4th one I shot at laying in the bottom. After dragging #'s 1, 3, & 2 to #5 I go to the bottom to get #4. It is not there! I looked for an hour and a half so took the 4pic. Went back Tues and looked for over 2hrs as I have never confirmed a quint before but no luck. I got a feeling it may have drug itself into the round bale storage area by where it was laying, and the farmer might find the bones as he feeds.
First was adult female at 37yds, third was adult male at 205, 5th was yoy female at 135, 4th was yoy female.

Great night! I was concerned about the last one, wondering if you were going to see it before it left the country. A quint is quite an accomplishment for most anyone,,, except Infidel Jeremy!

Thanks for the replies guys and yes it was a rush-I am still watching the video :giggle: . Just wish I could have found the fifth.
The week before I made it out 2 nights and made 9 sets w/o seeing or hearing anything. This sure made up for it.
Made 2 more sets after this one with nothing seen nor heard.
