That spot looks familiar. Is that the same place you got the double not long ago? Do you call, or bait, or just wait and catch them cruising that edge? Assume it’s a pond and not a river. Unless you’re boating over to fetch them up.

Thanks! It's been pretty quiet so far this season. I'm hoping Jan - March they'll get hungrier for some free venison. Yup, it is same photo op spot, opposite side of the lake from my bait pile at my club. 151 yards from the fishing "shed" (wood stove equipped 
) to the bait pile. I'll wait until I'm getting reliable visits on my cell trail cams and then visit from dark until whenever I get too bored. Ice just started to form down here and it's only 2" or so thick so it's a long walk around the end of the lake to get to any I hit. If it stays cold like this it will cut my travel time down substantially .

I'll cross once the ice gets at least 6". I'm in no hurry to take a freezing cold bath.
