Finally got the Savage project in shooting condition. Gotta give props to Kevin Rayhill for all the smith work, Im sure it will be a tack driver. Still have to get it cerekoted, add a harris, and maybe add some kmw hardware to the stock. But the fiance said I had to wait til after the wedding to spend anymore money on it.
Parts list includes: Savage model 10 S/A T&T by Kevin Rayhill, 243 Shilen varmint stainless match barrel 1x8 twist, bedded stockade woodchuck stock, Kevin Rayhills dbm, Bushnell Elite Tactical HDMR, ARC 34mm rings, Talley 20 moa base, tacops stock pack.
So we decided to go do some pistol shooting on the windiest day of the week. Of course I had to take the 243, since I havent got a chance to shoot it. After getting it on paper, I realize all I have left is five rounds of 58 gr vmax left. I was pleasantly surprised how well it shot considering the 15-25mph crosswind, and off a piece of crap bipod that wont lock in place anymore. Here is the 5 round group I squeezed off before my target blew over.
