Antelope Distress Call

Based on a post from the Hand Call Forum, I built this call for PM member "Howler".

He was looking for an Antelope Distress open reed call for hunting antelope this fall, as well as, calling a few predators this winter.

Yes, that's my attempt at an antelope track, engraved into the call.

Here is a sound clip from this call:

Kid Antelope Distress

I wanted to record some more sound clips tonight, showing some range, but it's late and the neighbors are all sleeping. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ronnie,

From the sound clips that I've listened to, there is a difference between a deer fawn and and antelope sound.

The antelope fawn distress sounds like a cross between a deer fawn distress and a kid goat distress. That is what I attempted with this call and feel that I hit it pretty close.

I was calling, last Saturday and worked on a whitetail doe that came running from 1/2 mile away. I found that she responded the most franticly to a fawn distress that is deeper and a bit raspy, than the higher pitched fawn distress that I was using. Best part....I got it all on video. Fun to watch.

Thanks...Tony
