here is a couple lamps i made yesterday.
i wanted to use more than one antler but after careful scrutiny i decided one looks better.
i still have some work to do to them, stenciling in deer on the shades and deer tracks on the base.

Very cool! did you drill the log for the wires or run them up the back? I will be looking at doing something along those lines when the den/trophy room gets finished in a couple weeks.
 
i drilled the log.
i was going to put two antlers on the logs to start but after laying them out i decided the one antler looks better.
with the lamps height two just looked to crowded.
even the elk antler lamp i didn't go with my largest antlers because it would have taken up to much space.
i have a large muley antler i wanted to use but if i had the table would have been full with just the lamp.
just some of the things i considered when making them.
lamp height
log size and straightness,
size of table it will be on,
coolness of antler,
size of antler to lamp size,
color of antler to each other and the bark.
i ended up not useing the antlers i had thought i was saving to build it with due to size, different coloration of antlers, not laying tightly to the log.
good thing i have lots to choose from.
 
Thats the problem I have I have two 330 inch class 6 point sheds I found. I can't hang them or build anything out of them as they are too big. Maybe If I ever need reinforment for a mud fort to keep the family safe. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'm going to make a glass top coffee table out of a matched set of 320"
I'd love to figure out what to do with some 340" 7x7 and a 360" 5 point

i told her i should finish these ones first.
i still haven't done it.
