Thoughts...good, bad or indifferent on the Burris XTR ll 4x20x50 with the G2B_Mill-Dot reticle.
any first hand comparisons out there...yea I've read reviews but looking for real field (or bench) experience.
I have several early 80's fixed power Burris and they are very good scopes...looking to scope the new LRPV in 204

I have the 5-25 (SCR MOA reticle) and the 8-40 XTR-II's
For what you get for the price point, they are a top shelf optic.
I prefer MOA myself in terms of reticle and adjustment-FWIW.

I have a 5x25 on a stiller .260 Remington. So far I have 30 rounds through it at 100 yards. I can't tell you too much other than I did a lot of research before I bought it and believed it offered the best option in terms of performance for the price. I have used other optics and based on my limited experience with the Burris, still think I made the right call. My preference is mil/mil and the G2B works very well for me.

Redleg,
Thanks for the headache...kidding.
Just read all the info (and [beeep] complaining), as the old adage goes some people will complain if they are hung with a new rope.
Headed out the door to pickup my 4x20x50 this morning...hope you like your new one.
Monty
