Any recommendations for a DVR for my Trijicon MK3 IR Hunter?

The UNV dvr is the one I've liked the best. However I like the pouch that TNVC sells better than the UNV one. Those are the two I've used most.

For what it's worth, I just got my mdvr from tnvc last weekend. So far it seems useful and attaches to my AR pistol pretty well.

At first, I thought it was broken because the metal contacts for the battery were not connecting when I inserted the battery. A combination of that and me not reading that you have to hold the power button for like 3 secs had me thinking I was going to have to return it Monday. But once I figured it out, it seems pretty solid.

The instructions are a little vague, but thank God they included some pages in English.

I have the UNV kit and it works, but I will say this: read the instructions and go through all the settings to make sure the mdvr set to your scopes output requirements. When mine came in I had to literally change all the settings for video and audio, which is fine... but when I first tired it I did not (because I'm lazy)and the footage looked bad and there was no audio which led me to read the instructions, haha. Much much better after applying the right settings, audio is good to go, too.

Ditto on what he said. My pulsar thermal has a different hz than my photon xt. I played with the settings last night to find that I have to change them depending on which optic I'm using.

It takes a little fiddling. I'd recommend playing with it at home and getting super familiar before you try to jack with it in the dark mounted to your rifle while trying to smash a yote. Goes for whichever DVR you get.

Might think about the batteries for the electronic Smokes.. It might sound weird, but those are batteries, and there are cables that attach to USB to charge, but if connected, would act just like a battery.

Something to think about, it might work and be slim and work out well.

Gunslinger can you tell me what you had to change on the MDVR?

When you long press the power to boot it up, you immediately hit a button (I think it's the esc key) and it brings you to a different menu that has other options. One for hz is like the refresh rate or something. I'll check mine in the morning and give you more detail.

If you have the English instruction pages it's somewhere in there.
