Anybody bought from Union Outfitters in WV?

Won an auction for a r15 off of gunbroker 48 hrs ago. Union Outfitters is the seller. Wanted to talk one on one before I paid, but can't get anything besides automated email replies!!! Phone will just ring and every email I send I get an automated response!

Email response yesterday said he was back logged 3 days. My response I get today said back logged 16 days!!!! [beeep]?! In one day you get back logged 13 more days?!

I'm confused because this guy has a flawless history on gunbroker. And I mean perfect with very good feedback. I just want to talk to him and pay the man and get my gun!

What's you guys think about my dilemma? Can or should I back out and go buy my gun somewhere else? Very frustrated!
 
I wouldnt pay until i could speak to somebody there, they most likely are busy, but too busy to answer the phone???????
 
I know John C. personally and I can assure you that there is extenuating circumstances if he hasn't got to you yet. He runs the shop by himself. I have bought several firearms from him and no complaints. Hes always done whatever he can. He offers end of the year layaway on all his guns and I'd say he has alot of guns on layaway that are being sent out right at the end of the year. Probably about 100-200 if I had to guess. Heis just one man so im sure he will get to you ASAP. I know how you feel because ive been through it myself but John is the one gun dealer who I know that is doing everything in his power to get it done. Hope everything works ligand you enjoy your new gun!
 
Your statements echo his feedback on gunbroker. Really nice guy and very helpful. But man, I need a little attention here!! Something other than an automated email reply. Ive never been so eager to pay someone 1200 bucks in my life!!
 
I spent several hours yesterday ordering a gun online. I sure he is like everyone else right now, completely slammed! If you haven't paid yet I would just sit tight for a couple of days.
 
I bought 3 AR15 lowers from him via gunbroker on the 19th. I have not heard from him and he is not answering any available contacts.....I stopped looking for AR stuff after hit buy-it-now. The prices have tripled since then. I hope he comes thought.
I wanted to put up a AR for my three sons for when they get older. I would not be able to buy them at today prices. We will see...

me too , i hope he didn't sell the guns we are TRYING to buy at the store . ???

KYIowa, Did you hear from him? That would make my day if i got an email from oufitters. He has great feedback. I quess I just have no idea what a shop gun shop might be going through right now.

still nothing for me . i clicked to buy on the 19 th . Check credit card ballance everyday a couple time . NADA . FINGERS CROSSED !!

GOT A EMAIL HE SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE , BUT DID NOT REMOVE THE ADD FROM GUNSAMERICA , SUCKS, I SURE WISH HE TOLD ME THIS 7 DAYS AGO .

Union Outfitters got me good. After I hit but-it-now on 3 S&W complete lowers I called it a day and stopped looking for ARs.
At the time stripped lowers could be had for $150. The complete S&W lowers were 400. His emails and answering machine said " hold on, I am busy"...., OK . After about a week later I am getting worried. Now I am told they were sold to someone else. Your S.O.L.
If you have looked at ARs you know the prices. I have been priced out.
How busy do you have to be to take time to copy and paste a form email. I am almost more sad than mad. The guns were for my three little fellow for when they are of age. We will see what comes out of DC.
