Anybody do a 6mm Rem with an 8 twist

Reason I'm asking is that the latest versions of the 108 and the like bullets are supposed to be shot with an 8 twist or faster. Have been shooting 105 with a 9 twist which was the standard Rem factory specs but Hornady stopped making the A-Max and I will exhaust my supply of them by the end of the year. Not comfortable with Hornady rep saying that with RL-19 I will be able to push that round fast enough that the 9 twist will not be a problem.
Thanks

In my world I would not buy a new barrel ...... I would shoot the 9 twist and the re19.... The 6mm rem will prob shoot fine because with more powder the bullet will go faster hence the RPMs will be high enough. If you were shooting in a 6x45 would not be going fast enough and would need a faster twist barrel to get the RPMs you need to stabilize bullet

Why are you not comfortable? 3K fps will easily stabilize them per calculations.

That was what I was thinking. My 8T 243 22" barrel shooting 100gr. Hornady's with RL-26 runs 3026fps without pushing them. I almost went with a 6mm and wished I would have. It still has me wondering what I could fling 100gr. bullets at with RL-26.

WOW!!

So why didn't I go 6mm???

Exactly

I did a 6mmAI with a 29" 8 twist Bartlien barrel on a Defiance long action, I've had it up to 3400+ with RL22 in brass formed from Lapua 30-06 and Norma 7x57 with no visible pressure signs but accuracy was much better at 3200.
I had the same problem with my 6x284 with the 105Amax I could get it over 3200 but the accuracy wasn't there, I'm now shooting the 87Vmax and Berger 95 VLD hunting and getting great accuracy there also imo better on groundhogs (I had this built for a long range varmints) than the 105 Amax

I have no problems with the 105 A-Max my question has to do with the 108 ELD match bullet. Since most responders are using the 9 twist I appreciate the response from schmidty with his experience using an 8 twist.
Based on the responses it appears that the factory twist will be sufficient for the 108. This load will be used in high power silhouette which is why the concern regarding twist rate. Will the slower rotation still stabilize at 500 meters?
One last question does RL-26 truly reduce fouling under prolonged shooting.
Thanks to all who have responded.

Spoke with Hornady yesterday and they ran a stability test and concluded that it will be marginal. The main issue is that I live in southeast Louisiana with a temp in the 90's and very high humidity. These conditions make a 9 twist problematic. If I were at a higher elevation say 2000' and lower temp then the 9 twist is not a problem. Guess I'm going to have to consider an 8 twist barrel.

Spoke with Allianz yesterday and they have no data using RL-26. Can you tell me what he source of your info?
Thanks

Use burn rate charts and a chronograph and make your own data.
