Hey Guys,
Got a 6x47 Lapua build in progress. Waiting on the PacNor barrel now. Just wondering if anybody has used one on Yotes. I'm planning to run the 55 and 75g bullets.

performance should be on par with the 243. Just more efficient about it.
I have one in build process now too with a -8 twist.

Nope,
but I took mine to the range yesterday and blistered a 3" piece of steel at 328 yards every single time I shot at it with 105 Hybrids.
I think I might coulda hit a coyote.

I hunt with a 6.5x47 and love it. I shoot coyotes but dont worry about hides just want them dead. I shoot 123 Amax. Kills them good ugly but good

This... ^

I have one but havn't shot any coyotes, it's way too heavy to go toting around. I did kill some deer with it farther than I should have... I think it will work just fine on coyotes with any bullet.

I've built 2 rifles in 6x47 Lapua for coyotes. The first one was a rebarreled Remington 700 action with a 9 twist Kreiger and the last one was built on a Bat action with 10 twist Kreiger. Both rifles are in HS Precision stocks using their bottom metal to feed rounds

Great caliber for coyotes. Have been using 70gr. Noslers in both. 3450fps out of the 10 twist with 36.5 grains of Varget........your mileage may vary.

I bet that load puts their noses in the dirt real sudden like!

I could push the load, but from what I've seen on coyotes this load is more than plenty. Plus its a lot easier on the brass. I hit one in the chest and it looked like liquid sausage inside, I recovered just the back end of the bullet just under the skin.....no exit.

I just rebarreled my rifle and went with the 6x47 again both of mine have been 9twist when I ordered my current barrel they wanted me to go with an 8 twist but I went with 9 I use this rifle for everything from plinking to to deer to coyotes. I wanted to be able to load light bullets for coyote hunting and heavy bullets for deer sized game and the 9 just seemed to fit the bill. I have been playing around with this round for 4 years now and in two different barrels they seemed to shine with 39.5 gr of powder for 95 gr and 69 gr bullets. I use h4350 for the 95 gr bullets and I use varget for the 69 gr both get 39.5 gr. With the 95 gr load and h4350 I'm getting almost 3140fps and the 69 gr load and varget I'm getting 3670 fps. I tried 68gr Bergers with the same powder charge and it was shooting almost one hole groups and it was super fast [beeep] near 3800fps but those bullets were worthless on coyotes I was getting runners all the time with them. The 6x47l is a pretty cool round it's super easy to make just run it through a sizing die and your done no neck turning or anything. I would have to say it is more comparable to a 243 ai than a straight 243 with a couple grains less powder. The only thing that I don't like about it is the brass is expensive and it's a wild cat you will never buy off the shelf shells. If you go on a hunting trip don't forget your ammo cause you won't be able to buy any.

I have a few 6XC's. and they are pretty close to the 6x47L. They are pretty close to 243 performance with less powder. They work very well on coyotes. I generally use 65gr VMAX on coyotes.

I am in the planning stages of a 6xc. Planning to build a 10 twist to sling the 80-87 gr pills. It's going to be a light weight build, hoping for 6.5#.

I've got a 1-8 on a Stiller and a 1-10 twist on a Rem 700. The 1-10 is a Benchmark but slightly larger contour than I want/like. I may have it re-contoured or sell it.

I have a rem model 7 donor that I am considering either 6x47 or 6 Creedmoor
Leaning to the Creedmore because I have lots of brass.
Words of wisdom welcomed

I should add it will be a coyote occasional and steel for fun gun

How do you like that combination?
Any favorite loads?

An 8tw Kriwger on a Stiller in 6x47 sounds amazing
Maybe have an Okie to put it all together
Hmmmmm
