Isn't this one of the reason we hunt? I feel sorry for people who sit at home and miss out on this kind of thing.
I think predator calling is like salt water fishing, or....a box of chocolates. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif You never know what you are gonna get.
I've called in mink, weasels, lynx, martin, fisher all when I was targetting some thing else. I guess that says a lot about calling skills eh? everything but what I want.
One time while river fishing in northern B.C. for coho, I was in the river casting and my buddies were taking a break on shore. One of them had caught and killed a coho and had it on the beach next a log they were sitting on. I saw a mink hunting on the opposite bank. I lipsqueaked and he slid into the water, heading my way. He swam around me a couple of times and headed for my buddies. He ran up on the beach and grabbed the coho[ about 15 lbs.] by the lip and proceeded to drag it back into the river.
