Anyone ever heard of a Lyman scope?

It was on a recent purchase. It is a straight power 8. Is it any good? Has fine cross hairs with small dot for a reticule.

They were made in the 60's and 70's at the time they were a very good scope.

I still have a 2.5X American or Alaskan lying around somewhere.........

No pics it is an all American 8x perma center. So what would it be compared too today?

The lyman was a quality scope in it's day. While they are not comparible to the top optics today, they are much better than most of the cheap scopes offered today. I would put them up against some scopes in the $200.00 + range.
