Anyone ever used Stockys Stocks?

Ordered 2 of the bc stocks from them in the last year. Shipped the same day and had them in less than a week. If you ordered them on line they should have gave you a conformation number saying that the ordered was placed and a tracking number saying that it was shipped. Are you sure that they were in stock at the time you ordered it. If not then it might be awhile til they get them back in stock.

I would not have a problem of waiting but they already charged my credit card. I have paid for something I don't have or don't have a clue when I will recieve. They should not have charged until shipped. imho

I ordered a HS Stock from them a couple of weeks ago and the same thing. I was told when I ordered it that it would be 6 weeks until I could expect it. They charged my card the day I ordered it also. I don't think that is right at all. They shouldn't charge the card until it has been shipped.

Charging before shipment is a definite no-no.
No reputable companies do that.
You need to complain big time so they change that policy.

I have sent them 3 emails with some questions about a stock for my sako, I have yet to hear back from them on any of them. It has been 2 months since I sent the first one and nothing on the other 2 since then. I am getting frustrated and am looking at going some place else. HAPPY HUNTING

2 months and no reply, you have the patience of a saint. I personally would have given them maybe a week. I ordered two stocks over the course of a couple months and each time they came in quickly. I talked to the owner directly each time. That was about two years ago.

I ordered a B&C vented beavertail for my Howa Varmint. I was
promised 8-12 weeks, and as all have related, the card was
charged right away. If you read the fine print, that is the way
they do business. I expect a number of frustrated waiters
have canceled on him, and left him with ordered stocks.

I did e-mail Stocky a couple of weeks ago at 10 weeks, and
basically he replied, "Still waiting". I thought I would try
them once, because their prices were unusually competitive. I
probably won't use them again, unless what I want is in stock.

Just a follow up.

I ordered a B&C Vented beavertail Weatherby style varmint
stock from Stocky Stocks on February 3rd, 2010. It shipped
May 20th from Florida. It will be delivered tomorrow.

The quote was for 8-12 weeks. It took 16 weeks from order
to delivery.

I see a number of inquiries about this vendor, and thought
all those inquiring minds might like to get some facts on
one person's experience.

My assessment is the prices are good, but if the stock has to
be ordered from the factory, a long lead time should be the
realistic expectation. I had the time to wait for this
stock. For this vendor, in the future, I will call ahead,
and make certain the stock I want is in their hands. If not,
I will shop around more, for something in stock at another
supplier. Keep in mind Stocky Stocks is a "No Cancel" policy
on special orders, so don't think you can order it, and then
shop around.

I follow up on my order. I ordered on March 22, their website says 4-6 week on HS Presicsion Stocks. I recieved the stock Friday May 21st took 8 weeks. I did not have patience and called serveral times. The last time I called to cancel order but was told I could not because it was a "special order". If it is not in stock and has to be back ordered it is a special order. They called HS Precision to check on my order and behold my stock was being shipped to them. The stock was perfect in every way. I was very pleased with HS Precision, I have already glass bedded it and waiting to shoot.

I saved buying from them but was not worth the trouble.
They charge you for the stock when order is place not shipped.
Long wait time on delivery.

The next time I buy if they are in stock, yes I would use again. If not, I would shop around.

Thanks

Mike
