Anyone Hunting with a PCC?

I'm working on tuning a suppressed .45 acp AR for night hunting with a buddy who will be using my suppressed 6.5 Grendel for distance while I'm calling and holding the .45 acp in reserve for close ups...

I know the Grendel is up for it. I got a skunk in my mom-in-law's horse lot last night at just over 100 yards with it. I really hate skunks. I'm still working on the .45. I'm thinking under 50 yards using 230 grain jacketed hollow points...

PCC doesn't make any sense to me. Hunting or SD. 300 BO is more versatile and ammo cost about the same. Dillos/hogs/rabbits/possum @100 or closer and yote a month ago @ 150 yds. One shot kills. I can run 100 -220 gr bullets and the rifle is reliable. If I chose I could run a can and get same performance.
PCC would be a fun blaster/noise maker.

I've seen videos of HP's fired from a PCC. They're not designed for high speed. The videos showed that they greatly deformed.

Hollowpoints do have a velocity threshold they are designed to work within. However, the 9mm doesn't have enough oomph to really get too far out of that window. Most of those videos place the gel block relatively close to the shooter for sure shot placement and to simulate a self-defense scenario. At self-defense ranges within a home, the added velocity of the carbine barrel may stress a 9mm hollow point beyond its design threshold. Now imagine a hunting situation in which the target is 25-50 yards away. The velocity has dropped and is back within the designed performance threshold. A little extra velocity out of the gate may help the bullet to mushroom and penetrate better at 45 yards on a fox or coyote.
