Anyone know anything about a Tasco 8x32x Scope?

I recently got a new (to me) rifle with a Tasco 8x-32x scope on it. I did not find anything about on the Tsaco site. It doesn't seem very practical for me, so I am thinking about putting a Leupold 4.5- 14 on it. What advice can all of you give me? Thanks.

Greg, i used to own a tasco 8-32x50 it was a world class plus, with large sniper style turrets, i believe it was 1/8 moa adjustment, and had a very fine plain crosshair, with a fine centre dot, it was a very nice scope, and i regret selling it, it would have gone great on my .17hmr for daytime use.

i had a world class 8x32 tasco target turrets 1/8 min clicks. was ok up to 24 power after that it got fuzzy. so happy to be rid of the cheap darn thing. bought a buriss 8x32. i am very pleased with this one. very clear even at 32 power. quite a bit more expensive though. tried going cheap but it didnt work. you get what you pay for. mine was when they first came out so maybe it just had bugs they hadn't ironed out at that time. good luck with yours.

I'm taking it off and putting on a Leupold VX III 2.5x-8x Duplex Matte. Most of my shooting here in western Montana is shorter ranges. Don't know what I will do with the Tasco.

Hey GREG, Sell me the Tasco for 50.00$, if you care to..I Still Use em'S.Wolf, StephRBud@aol.com..I've got a CABELA's Electronic Game Caller ( CASSETTE type) Like new if your interested in partial TRADE? Stephan Wolf..100.00$ is what the calle'rs worth,,Anyway..

Coyotewolf27- Do you want or need the high base SS Ruger rings? The scope is virtually new, like I said I'm taking it off a Ruger 77. Thanks, Greg

Hello Greg,
If i'm not mistaken it's the same as the Simmons 8X-32X.
There were factory manufacturing problems with them. I have one and it went back to the factory after the first month. The Horiz and vert adjustments ran out of range. The tech admitted to the problems. The scope came back repaired and I found the 32X is great for benchrest shooting. I just sent it back again after a year because it developed another problem.
The scope would go way out of focus each time I fired. This was on both my 30-06 and .243. In reality the optics aren't to bad and despite the cheap price I'm very much satisfied. Hey, someday you might get another gun and wish you had that scope. For your long distance shots at PD's and woodchuck it's not a bad scope.
Frankie B.
