Like is says. Has anyone been able to mod a Mojo critter so it can be turned on and off with a Foxpro call and remote?

I don't think the aux jack supplies any voltage.

It's a momentary type switch/relay on the older FP's and some of the newer models can be momentary or latched depending on what the user selects.

A mojo can be modified fairly easily to be used with the newer models with latched capabilities without to much work involved.

It can be made to work with the older models also, but you need to hold the aux button down the entire time you want the decoy to operate. Not very handy and there is some concern it is not good for the aux circuit in the caller.

If I'm reading this right, I would replace the switch on the Mojo Critter with a jack to insert in the aux on my Fury?

jmontgomery, I believe that is correct. I rigged up a decoy for my fx3 with a motor from an old dvd player using a headphone plug (3.5mm jack I think) for the "switch". Worked for me, but I'm no pro, just a tinkerer. In the case of the fx3 the tip of the plug is + and the shaft is -. If hooked up opposite the "switch" will be on constantly.

pd721el, I have not seen the switch on a mojo critter, but if it has visible electrical connections you should be able to solder the auxillary plug on without removing the original switch. Then you could use it both ways, manual switch or auxillary on caller.

Checked my Firestrom and when you press the AUX button on the remote the voltage on the AUX plug goes up in 10ths of a volt to with each push, until 1 volt. In the owners manuel it stated that it is very voltage sencetive and and if damaged in any way not warrantied.

So I think I'll buy a Jac attack and not worry about messing up my $400 call

Would there be any way you could use a sound activated switch to activate your critter while the Foxpro is playing. I was thinking about those dancing cactus that move when music comes on. Just a thought and let me know if it wouldn't work, I'm curious.

Now that would be both funny and functional!

No kidding. That is a cool idea. You better patent that and give it a cool name like "Dancing Death" or "Killer Kactus". OK, those aren't so cool, but your idea is awesome.

My dad has a dancing gopher caddy shack look alike, that he is dieing to try. H disconnected to speaker so the stupid music if off. He just bought a Jac attack but I know that gopher will be in the truck during Mtn lion season.
