jmontgomery, I believe that is correct. I rigged up a decoy for my fx3 with a motor from an old dvd player using a headphone plug (3.5mm jack I think) for the "switch". Worked for me, but I'm no pro, just a tinkerer. In the case of the fx3 the tip of the plug is + and the shaft is -. If hooked up opposite the "switch" will be on constantly.
