Anyone shooting the Mathews "MR(5,6,7)" series Monster?

Anyone shooting these? Probably gonna pick one up. I was looking at the Athens accomplice because of great reviews and the ability to order 100# limbs. But what I can do with 100# limbs, I can do with 80# in the monster. I have heard nothing but good things about the "MR" series. Some of the older ones like the 5.0,6.0,7.0 or M 5,6,7, had a more aggressive draw cycle.

Great bows. Not try to change your mind by any means but have you shot or looked at the Bowtech Insanity? From what I gather from your post you are looking for speed with Smith draw. I shoot the Insanity CPX with 80lb limbs (84lbs) and my brother has the MR 6.0. My bow will out run his with absolutely no hand shock and a smoother draw. Im shooting 29" and a 400gr Gold Tip Velocity Pro at 347fps. My brother is shooting29.5" same arrow at 333fps. Im not sure which one is more forgiving. But just something to look at. I door like the MR and have considered buying one to try.

I shoot an 09' monster 6.0 with 7.0 modules on the cams. barnburner string and cables. It is unreal accurate and quiet. super fast and unreal kientic energy over 90lbs. pass throughs all day. It shoots a 425gr arrow setup @ 322fps set @70lbs and a 29" draw.that is scary fast for an over 400 gr arrow. if it was 80lb draw it would be unreal.

I am shooting a 2010 Monster (not MR6, MR7, just "Monster"), 70lb, 27.5" draw. I only get 278fps average out of 468grn arrows, but it's plenty of punch to get the job done. I shoot 50yrds with it like nothing.

My "other bow" is a 2011 Bowtech Destroyer 350. MUCH MUCH harder draw, but I get 323fps out of 387grn arrows with it. Not something I want to play indoor league with, as it's he11 on your back drawing it 100+ times in a night.

I absolutely love that Monster. Gotta say I like the Destroyer better, but for pleasure shooting, the Mathews is a dream.
