Thinking about trying one of these trijicon rmr on my ar for close work. Has anyone used one? I have a 3.5x15 as my primary optics but was thinking of trying one of these in addition.
Thanks Bryan

Is there a specific feature that is drawing you to the RMR? If you are just looking for a side-carriage red dot, check out the Burris FastFire 3 at about half the price. If you feel the fastfire might not be enough quality, the C-More STS is another option, still cheaper than the RMR.

My SRS just came in for my SBR.

Trijicon selling point is the warranty and how amazingly tough the glass is, IMHO. eBay has good deals.

I have 5 of them, absolutely love them! They are tough as nails, compact, best optic in the smallest package, you won't regret it !

this is my Daniels Defense M4 with a TA31F RMR, the RMR is super fast non-magnified sitting on top of the 4x ACOG, best of both worlds IMHO

I had the chance to try one a couple weeks ago...my nephew has one on his Larue OBR. It is mounted on an angle just right of the Vortex Viper PST so you have to turn the rifle a little to see it. It didn't work too good for me. I found that I had to really lower my head to see the dot. The dot seemed way too bright. It was in the middle of the day and had it been in low light conditions it would have knocked out my vision. I didn't mess with or ask if it could be dimmed, maybe it can be turned down on the brightness. It was so hard to find a good sight picture that I didn't care, I wouldn't use it anyway. Based on what I saw having one on a rifle and in my hands I would not buy one. Suggest you take a good look at one in person before you buy. I am sure it is high quality but again, it just didnt work for me. I did ask my nephew when I first looked and saw no dot if it needed to be turned on. His comment was that "it's not adjusted for your eye." I think he knows there is a problem getting a good sight picture with it, but he dont want to admit it because it cost alot. It was small and low iin profile so it wouldn't snag up on much, maybe that is worth the difficult sight picture. Definately look at one mounted on a gun if at all possible before you order. Good luck.

I have the Trijicon RMR and it is a great piece of equipment. I have the CMore STS and that is nice also. Trijicon is battery free and that is a big reason for the price. If you buy the Trijicon RMR you will only cry once.

The CMore STS is really nice also. You don't have to take the STS off the rifle to change the battery so you won't have to re-zero when the battery goes dead.

Both are really nice and a cut above the rest. The Trijicon is nicer than the CMore STS and that's why the price difference.

Having said that------You can't go wrong with either one.

Skinney,

If I did I would have a naked gun! Sorry, I love them too much. I think If I had one sitting I'd get a gun for it to go on :0)
