As was said, the accuwedge or similar shouldn't hurt your accuracy or help it. It will however feel a bit better to the shooter. The optics and upper receiver are all separate from the lower so it really shouldn't have much effect on down range accuracy. Perhaps it is trigger pull? What scope/mount/trigger do you currently have?
