Anyone use fox barks during red fox mating season?

In the north of Sweden red fox are just getting in to their breeding season. I've gotten myself a call that makes a somewhat decent fox bark (easiest is the Haw-haw-haw-haw of a male fox) and I'd just like to know if anyone have tried to target breeding season reds with actual red fox sounds? And if so - what happened?

If anyone is curious I just thought I'd mention I talked to a wildlife biologist today and he said he'd tried to call red fox with a recording of a red fox female in heat, but got no response.
