Anyone used this on your AR

Has anyone used this particular product on their AR? Thinking about picking it up for my build, but I'm a bit leery on how accurate that torque wrench would be considering the price of the kit.

Here is the link_

If the link doesnt work, its a Wheeler engineering torque wrench and armorers wrench combo

Thanks

Usually there is an accuracy range on torque wrenches of a certain percentage. You may want to contact Wheeler to see what acceptable parameters their wrenches have. If its less than a few percentage points, it shouldnt matter too much.

I would call +\- 5% acceptable. Idk what wheelers tolerances are, but that's what we us in the AF. 5%.

With all of my builds I just use the wrench, and my hands. Right or wrong, I considered the AR nut to be treated just like the nut on my Savage. Never had any of them come loose.

I picked up a pretty nice looking wrench at a pawn shop.It is a Sears in inch pounds.I have used it for several years.I did not pay very much for it.Also got one,a sears in foot pounds I used on machinery, did not pay much for it either.I think I paid 12.00 for it.

Harbor freight has torque wrenches for cheap. And they're accurate, I've tested them on the same tester we use in the AF. I have a 20-200 in/lbs for $17.
