Anyone using a 6BR or 22BR repeater?

I'm also curious about the 6br. Seems like it would be a great caliber for a calling rifle. And it would use a lot less powder than my 243.

I use a 6Br repeater for my calling rifle. It's custon built on a 700 short action. My smith didn't do the mag modifications, I did. The magazine is too long and has to be shortened. Mike Bryant is a gunsmith that shows how to modify your magazine on his website. I love the 6Br for a calling rifle, plenty of power and VERY accurate. Good luck with your new calling rifle.

I've always said I would do this one day, maybe soon.

I'll add I think the 6 dasher would be a better choice, especially now with factory brass available.

I too modified an exisitng 700 magazine box myself. If I had it to do over, I would buy the kit. My 6 BR was a heavy varmint for p-dogs. Cool cartridge and inheriently accurate as can be. I shot 105 pills in the wind and 70 grain varmint bullets when less windy. Those 70 grainers would definitely put the smack down on a 'yote.
