Anyone using Western Rivers E-Calls

Been looking at the Apache Pro. I have a FireStorm now, anyone used both? Which is better in your opinions??

Haven't used the firestorm, but my hunting buddy has a western rivers Navajo. Seems to have ok sounds but lots of useless ones preloaded. The predator calls are a lot better than the crow calls. We used it for crows last weekend and it has ok volume (nothing that will blow you away though). The loop length seemed short on the crow calls as well, but we typically use his old western rivers tape caller with Johnny Stewart tapes for crows because the sounds are good and the call is loud.

The western rivers remotes are terrible,I had a nightstalker for a back up.Downloaded the sounds and sent it down the road. You'd be better off with any model FoxPro.....

I never had any trouble with the Firestorm remote. Guess I was lucky.

Now using a CS24C and a Shockwave and the TX1000 remote is a really good remote.

I always have two callers------just in case.

I was using the Spitfire and Firestorm and would always set them out 50-100 yards. No problems. I did make sure that I had a good line of site and I put the caller on top of the bag I carry them in which elevates the caller about 1 foot.

With the new remote TX1000 I have tested out to 200 yards and NEVER had any problem with either of them. I have a Shockwave and CS24C now. I have also had a Fury which would do the 200 yard range also. FHSS technology is a good thing and all of the upper end callers from FoxPro have FHSS tech.

I killed a lot of coyotes with the Spitfire and Firestorm but I like the added bells and whistles that you get with the upper end e callers from FoxPro. Don't use all of them but they are nice to have.
