Looking to enter the thermal world, own and love my atn 4 k rifle scope and searching for a thermal scanner, found a used one on eBay that looks promising

Thermal is expensive. It isn't in comparison to what it was 5-10 years ago, but it is still expensive. For the most part, in the thermal world you get what you pay for. If you pay hundreds of dollars vs thousands of dollars, it is very evident.

The very low, low end models like the Leupold LTO and Flir TKs are really designed to help track or find a downed animal. Have some found a way to squint and see an object at close range and then move to a gun, yes. Would I ever recommend it, the answer is no.

In all fairness, I have not used an AGM 160. However, based on spec, I wouldn't expect it to be a very useable option.

On the comment of you get what you pay for, one of the many reasons I talk about Bering a lot is in my opinion, you get more than what you pay for. I would probably recommend a Hogster 25 as a scanner or at least bump up to the AGM ASP 384s if you want to stick with the AGM brand. I have talked to Bering for a long time about coming out with a lower priced scanner with the internals of the Hogster 25. I can't promise anything, but I know they are looking into if you aren't in a huge rush.

Th all for the reply,I'm just a fair weather guy who might get out 10-12 times a year, not really looking for anything much over a thousand dollars,I'd spend a lot more if r coyote were worth more then 10 dollars, lol
