AR-15 Accu Wedge or Tension pin ???

When I first got my AR-15 I put an accu wedge in it to make the fit between the upper and lower tighter. It is made of some kind of plastic and I think it is nearing the end of its useful life as its not as tight as it used to be. Has anyone used these "Expandable Tensioning Pins" on their AR's??

They do take the wiggle out of the upper/lower union but they will slow you down when you want to hinge it open. I have never found them to be apealing.

If the wiggle bothers you, try one of the "EAR" foam ear plugs. They are no where near as tough to close the upper on and any of my old AR's, it's done the trick.

Wedge is much better as Mike has said. I have them all and the others are a real pain in the butt if you need to break down a rifle for some reason. I have never worn out an Aucc-Wedge.

If all you want to do is take the rattle out, any of the above mentioned will work fine. Don't expect them to improve accuracy any, as that is outside of their capability.

I was gonna say the same thing. All they do is make the rifle rattle-free.
