AR-15 and Trjicon ACOG problem.

I have a Trijicon ACOG 4x32 mounted in a TA-51 mount on a flat top Bushmaster .223

The elevation and windage adjustments will only let me zero it within 4 inches high and 4 inches right of zero at 25 yards and no better. All screws and mount are tight and the rifle shoots great with other scopes that have been on it.

Any sugestions from the AR shooters? Could there be a problem with this scope??? Is this what you would expect from a $1000 scope??!!!

No that's not what to expect. The base is not sitting right for some reason. Inspect the picatinny rail and the inside of the mount.

I've tried everything, even mounting on another rifle.
I'm wanting to send it to Trijicon to have it looked at but as I'm not the original owner I'm wondering if they are going to charge me a arm and a leg to fix it.

Anyone have any dealings with Trijicons customer service??

I'd call the Manufacture's Customer Service department and find out what they suggest, or will be willing to do...and if possible, after you get some info, contact the person you bought it from and work out an acceptable solution...

It sounds like it may have been dropped at some point and the reticle knocked askew...the company may repair it under warranty, even without a receipt..

Either he pays for the repair, and related costs, or returns your money...

I sold a standard varmint scope to another member here and he noticed a problem that I hadn't been aware of at the time of transfer...we worked out a different deal and I took the scope back, sent it in under warranty, and got it fixed...

Found out what the problem was and all is good now the acog works like a champ! The problem was in the mount.

On another note for those wondering how customer service is on Trijicon...I called them looking to buy a screw for my ACOG so I would have a spare. They wanted $17 bucks! For one single screw and washer! $10 for the screw and 7 more for mailing. LOL!! I asked the guy "for one screw?" he said "yup" I laughed and said "no thanks" Found one at the local gun shop for 75 cents. All is good now.
