AR 15 Build 6.5 grendel. which buffer setup to use?

im new with the AR Platform and have started gathering parts for my build of a 6.5 Grendel.

I ordered the LPK today minus trigger as I am trying to buy parts a little at a time. I plan to use the ALG ACT trigger. a 20" Odin barrel and BCG kit.

the stock I have picked out is LUTH AR Skeleton stock.

I am a little unsure as to which Buffer setup to use as far as spring and buffer to get. can someone help me out
 
Buffer/spring set up is the same as a 223/556. Uses the standard combination and don't go off tangentially on heavy buffers.

I shoot the same standard lower rig on everything from 17-223 to 458 SOCOM with zero issues.

I have also had good results with the Spikes Tungsten buffer but I run suppressors on all my rigs.

You might consider an adjustable gas block. It allows you another way to fine tune the rig and it will be set up for a suppressor if you decide to add one later.

It will run either a rifle or a carbine buffer system depending upon your likes/dislikes. I have found that the mid length gas system and a rifle buffer is very pleasant to shoot.
 
I have the same barrel and if you reload try CFE 223 at 31.0 to 31.4gr 123gr Amax out to 2.27 COAL. This seems to be the node for a 20" barrel. Also go to Msrhunt.com and they have a lot of load data with nodes on their website. Smallest group I have shot with 31.4gr powder is .33 a couple times.
 
I got good accuracy and excellent SD with CFE223 but never got the speed/accuracy I get with 8208.
 
Amax bullets fly great and give great groups. SST's do wonders on coyotes. Not great for fur harvesting but puts them down hard.
 
Are they discontinuing the AMax? Some places show discontinued instead of out of stock. If so, I guess a guy needs to buy some. Which shoot better, AMax or SST?
 
Amax is discontinued because they found out that the polymer tip distorted in flight as per their radar testing. It has been replaced by the ELD X.
