AR 15 scope mounting question. Need some help.

Really? I don't see how you could make a rigid one-piece mount like that much lighter. I guess we have different perceptions of weight. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I did machine that square "block" off of mine, but it wasn't that significant of weight savings, I just don't like sharp corners. I managed to mount it "backwards" and get the right eye relief:

Sorry last week they had a 30 MM on there in one piece. The current one is for 1"
