AR-15 Triggers

I'm in the market for an upgrade trigger for my AR-15. I would appreciate any comments on the various aftermarkets available that you have had personal experience with. I'll probably stay with a single stage and have read some references to the JP, Jewell, McCormick.
While I'm not in a position to say "Money is no object." I know it's better to pay for the quality in the first place.
Thanks

I Just put a RRA 2 stage in my Bushy XM.It was a snap and really helped out. Eagle Arms for $89.00 + shipping. My smith wanted $250 to install a JP.

email me and I will send you a site to help.

I have a JP in my Oly Arms and I love it. It's a single stage trigger and it is smooth and breaks clean. It has a pull of about 3lbs or so. Great trigger. There are several good triggers out there. You'll just have to find one that you like. I perfer a single stage others like a 2 stage. Good luck.

I have been using the MEGA Machine single stage triggers. I believe Alexander Arms uses them, or a variance of, on the 6.5 Grendel. Adjustable, light and clean break. I now have two and like them very much. They do feel different than the standard AR trigger as they a just a little narrower than the normal trigger.

I have the McCormick single stage straight trigger and love it. Best trigger i have used on the AR.

Same here. Love it.

I have a Jewel on a SpaceGun, a Jewel on an AR10, 2ea RRA's 2-stage and a couple of single stage triggers that feel like a caulking gun /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I am building a new AR dedicated to coyote hunting that I bought the trigger from White Oak Precision that John H. tunes before he sends it out. It is much better than the factory RRA 2-stage (which I like pretty well as is)and John only charges about 25 bucks to tune it. John is a big name in the highpower world. I HAD a CLE trigger that got soft after a while and I got rid of it.

I don't have any personal experience with it but hear great things about the Chip M. trigger.

JP or McCormick in a single stage trigger. I would stick with the single stage for hunting! Don't waste your money on the so -called 2-stage match triggers from the AR mfg'ers. Spend a little extra and get a good trigger. These triggers they offer are much better than a std trigger but no where as good as a JP or McCormick.

I put a McCormick straight 2 stage in my new "Coyote Killer" great trigger, but pricey, best bang for the buck by what I've heard is the RRA 2 stage, economical, easy to install, and a great trigger.

I dropped a 2-stage McCormick into mine, and I'm very VERY pleased with it. Single stagers just don't "feel right" to me - too spooky or something for me. I guess maybe I just have a "longer" shot process than a lot of folks? I've got a 2-stage trigger in all my guns except my shotgun... Anyway, point being that if you like a 2-stage pull, the McCormick is pretty dang nice...
