AR Comp powder ?

Is anyone using AR Comp powder for loading 223 with 55 gr Hornady soft points ? I am having a difficult time finding an accurate load with this combination, has anyone else found an accurate load ?
 
I haven't tried it with 55 grain soft points, but we load 60 grain hornady soft points over it and have gotten great results. I wouldn't think the 55 grainers would be that different and you would be able to come up with something.
 
I use it almost exclusively for my AR's chambered in 20 practical and 223. However, I shoot 52 gr pills in my 223's. If you can warm up to the 52 gr booleets try 25.2/25.3 grs of AR comp and start loving life.

You sure about that load? Did you mean 25.2/25.3 gr? You might have a hard time getting 52 gr of powder in the 223.

I hope so. I have a good load worked up with 25.5gr under a 50gr vmax and 25.0gr with 55smk. Start low and work up, I run cci400 with the 55smk load but got a slight crater with the 50vmax so I switched to rem 7 1/2 primers and no more crater.
 
Ar comp is a lot like varget. From what I have learned. So I would think It would be a little better for heavier 223 bullets..

AR Comp seems to me a little faster burning(cleaner burning too) than varget.I know that with 25.0 gr and a 55gr Hornady SP got good accuracy and 3200+fps from a 21 inch barrel.
It is my go to powder in the 22-250. I am bumping 4000 with 52gr Berger's.
 
Yes, thats exactly what I meant...oops..typo. The dyslexia is strong with me!! I also have a RR AR that I ran some 60's through just for GP and it preferred 24 gr of VV N-133 as opposed to anything else.
