AR Disconnector and trigger holes won't line up

I have tried for hours to get these two to line up. It seems like the disconnector won't line up with the holes in the trigger. Did I receive the wrong piece or what? I'm using a pin on each side to help but the disconn won't go down far enough for the pin to slide in.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Right after I posted this, I got it. FINALLY!!!

Try turning the spring upside down or checking for burrs. If it will go together without the spring, then you know to look at the spring.
