ar scope rings

Don't worry about taking it off or cutting it off, just leave it there. I have a 4.5-14 mounted on a DPMS AP-4 308 with a 16" barrel and the sight is not even noticable in the scope.

ive got a leitner wise m6. lwrifles.com then just go to the left side of page and scroll over the m6. thanks

Are the iron sights removable? I would surely think so. You've got an A4 flat-top receiver. Looks to me like the only decision left to make is do you want optics only on top, or optics, and keep the iron sights too. If the irons are removable, my first post is still applicable. If they're permanently attached, I don't know what to tell you. Never been there before.

Hangtime.

Goldengun4,

I hope I didn't inadvertently confuse you with the above post, but I'm afraid I might have, so apologies in advance.

When I asked "are the iron sights removable" I was ONLY referring to the rear irons, so you could mount a rail, etc. I only asked this because I've never seen a LW rifle up close and personal, but again surely they are removable?

As others have mentioned, you'll never see the front iron thru the optics, so don't worry about that.

Again I apologize if my above post wasn't crystal clear.

Hangtime.

the rear sight is just a back up sight. i can click it down when needed. but yea that kinda confused me. its fine though happens all the time. do yall know anything about the bsa sweet .223 scopes. my friend just got a sweet .17 and he loves it. and opinions would be great. thanks

I would stay away from the BSA scopes. I have had alot of them. I hear people say BSA means "barely see anything".
I will say that BSA has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. Overall I was happy with my scopes, but one broke (crosshairs) and the company was A-holes as far as getting it fixed.

As far as the rings go, you got alot of good info from other people. I wont add to the posts for that, I just wanted to warn you about BSA
