i recently got an ar10 flat top dpms and the trigger is 8 lb.plus , will a trigger for an ar15 work in an ar10? and what trigger do you reccommend , i would like a two stage.

The LR by DPMS is not an AR-10. Most of the parts will interchange but not all. I think the Jard trigger is the only one you may have issues with. Rock River, Jewell, Chip McCormick, JP, all should fit in your LR just fine.

thanks guys
a couple more questions tho,
this dpms isn't an ar ? does it take ar10 clips ?
and which trigger do you reccomend ?

No, it's not an AR-10. The AR-10 does take different magazines. "AR-10" is the trade-name of ArmaLite. Several other companies, like DPMS, make a short-action rifle like the AR-10, but they are not the same.

Price wise, I would go with a Rock River NM two-stage. If you want a better trigger, get a Rock River that has been tuned, or get a Jewell.

Jard will not work. We have been working on them for 3 yrs now and can't get them 100%. I had one that was 1.5 lbs and would. However, we could not make the rifles function 100%.

I have several of the DPMS .308's and use JP triggers in them so can't help you with the 2-stage one. At one time Jewell was a problem in the AR-10 type rifles but don't know if they got the problem fixed or not. Sure Mike will know as he installs them. Jewell would be my bet for the best 2-stage trigger.

I believe AR-10's Armalite use modified M14 mags. DPMS has their own. You will love the DPMS rifle. I have used and shot them all. The DPMS is way less money and will shoot with SR-25's unless they have the special military barrels in them. You can buy 3 or 4 DPMS .308's for one SR-25.

thanks for the replies guys ,
