AR15? And Pics Of Your AR15!!

I traded for a DPMS Sweet Sixteen upper from a member here. I bought a DPMS new lower from a shop here in town. Then I traded for a riser and a Bushnell Banner 6-18x50 scope. I took it out the first time last weekend. It shot great. Except when it had PMC in it.

I will be using this gun for coyotes, Pdogs and plinking.

I really don't like the scope. I didn't hate it but I sure didn't love it. It wasn't the quality, it was the magnification and the size. I have a Nikon Monarch 3-9x40 I could put on it but I really like a 50mm objective.

What kind of scopes are you guys using for Pdogs and yotes? Pics?

Thanks again!!

Thanks! The mods just moved it for me. I'm looking forward to seeing some good ar"S!

Id run that one if you sent it my way!! my scope is a 6-24x 42. I if dial mine up from xero I have to watch it every shot, it will gain clicks.

Lucky dog whats the deal with that barrel it looks cool. Looks like the black part is like a sleve over the stainless barrel.

I was just curious on how accurate that scope is with gun. Once zeroed in @100yds are the cross hairs accurate to what they say? Speaking of the Nikon M223.

This is the rifles normal accuracy @ 100yds. off a Bipod with no rear rest.
I don't think I have shot it @ 200yds on paper with this scope.
I have shot at about 8" steel plates at 200-300yds. and it was right on the money
I will try to get out by next weekend and shoot @ 200yds and 300yds with the same load
in this Pic and will post results
I do love this scope though

Shot to 200 today, with my handloads of 53 Vmax and 25.0 XBR.
Rifle is Zeroed @ 100yds.
Using the BDC, it is dead on the money @ 200yds.

Not using BDC it dropped 2.050"
Sorry I forgot to test it with standard 55 FMJ
I will try to test more next weekend.

His and Her's AR-15's

556/.223 18" SD upper w/ Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 with standard crosshair(green dot) which I use for low light and night hunting for predators.

6.8 16" S.T.A.T upper (Wilson lightweight Hunter Barrel) W/ Nikon Monarch w/BDC 3-9x40 which I bought my wife for V-Day to use for hog and deer hunting.

Standard and youth model rifles don't fit my wife well so since she did well with my 556, I had this built for her. Once sighted in, she was able to take out clay pegions with every shot at 200 yards, freehanded.

Anyway, Both shoot well under MOA using the following factory ammo:

6.8 Hornady SST 120's.
.223 Hornady V-Max 55gr, Black Hill 60 gr V-Max, and .556 62 gr SP (Any).

Thanks for the reply. I was curious cause my friend has one on his ar but he zeroed 1" high @ 100. And it was not right on @ 200 or 300 yds. He needs to be dead on @100 to get the most out of that scope I think. I believe thats what it calls for anyways?
