AR15 Buffer?

Has anyone used a hydraulic or air buffer on their AR? I see that bushmaster has them as well as other man. Just wondering if they'd be worth the money? Thanks

I think Olympic Arms sells a hydraulic buffer also. I'm going to try white lithium grease on my buffer spring to try and quiet it down just a bit but if that doesn't work I think I'll pick one up. The SPROING!! noise of the spring really bothers me. Keep us posted if you get one.

Another +1 for the Enidine Buffer, I notice a decrease of felt recoil (not that .223 recoils much, but it does make a difference) and general smooth cycling.

What about decrease in heard noise? I may get used to that spring making racket but I would like to research the alternatives. Thanks guys

You still get the "AR Sproing" with the Enidine.

The "Sproing" is one of the things that make it an AR!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Me likes the "SPROING" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

AR's are like like a finely tuned instruments...., you know how it's working by the music it makes!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I think the Oly arms one is pneumatic??

+1 for Enidine. Doesn't necessarily reduce the recoil for me but smoothes things out nicely. Makes it even easier to see impact throught the scope at decent ranges.
