Are suppressors legal in KS

After reading some threads, you guys got me wanting one of these now. I did some internet searching, and came up with conflicting reports on this subject. I was just wondering if any of the Kansas boys or anyone else "in the know" knew the answer for sure.

Thanks
Aaron

YES they are legal. And, I think only 1 signature away from being legal to hunt with. In fact, I am buying one next week. (Starting the whole NFA purchase process that is.)

Correct. CCW while hunting (including big game) and supressors while hunting is very close to, hopefully, be passing into law.

Supressors are legal in KS, and aren't that hard to acquire, other than parting with your $200 for the tax stamp, and fingerprints.

Where are you located in KS and perhaps one of us can guide you to a dealer in your area? Just a heads up, it may take 3-6 months to complete the entire process.

I have 2 suppressors currently awaiting approval with the ATF...

Thanks for the replies guys, I am located just north of Topeka about 10 miles.

Is the suppressor law and the CCW while hunting law in the same bill?

also do I need a stamp for each suppressor, each gun, both, or just one stamp and I can buy 2 or 3. Not necessarily that I am going to to buy several suppressors, but I want to know how it works.

Thanks

(1) Tax stamp per suppressor, and you can use it on as many firearm hosts as you want. No extra costs for using it on multiple firearms.

The CCW law and suppressor law are both on the same bill.

For Kansas CCW/NFA stuff, checkout KSCCW, it's about the only forum in our area for that type of stuff:
