Are there any free hunting magazines?

Doug, Most state trapping assoc. will send the 'trapper and pred caller' if you join. Most memberships are inexpensive, and your support would be welcomed.

DougK, try visiting the hunting dept. your local outdoor store. Often they'll have promotional copies of various mags to give out. Not a subscription but it usually gives me something to read though on my lunch breaks.

this is the best place to pick up info. that i know of. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's a thought, if you find a thread you want to read, cut and paste it to a word document and print it yourself ........ Oh, I'm sorry, you seem to want something for nothing and you'd have to pay for the paper and the ink so I suppose you could feel cheated then. ......

Sarcasm is rarely a successful way to handle any situation, please forgive me. I have this impression floating around in my mind that we are raising a generation of folks that are used to having something for nothing. Relatively free information is just handed to them on the internet everyday. There is little appreciation for the value of the information or the labor involved with the information gathering process. Then you also need to understand the fact that someone needed to PAY for the printing and distribution costs of a magazine. Yes, I know, the price of the magazine does not cover the actual costs involved in producing it, it's the advertisers that actually pay for producing the magazine. But there is something rewarding about purchasing a magazine or any item that a free product will never have.

Edited slightly, the concept of the post was good, the execution was not! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

DougK: I'm guessing you already have free internet access. Easy enough these days with all the unsecured WAPs in many neighborhoods.

As to the free buckets, check out a construction site. There's usually plenty floating around there.

And to the root question: Where to get free magazines? Try dumpster diving behind your local magazine stand. They'll remove the covers of the magazines before tossing them. Start your search in the recycling bins.

Otherwise I suppose it is a matter of how recognizable your face is, if there is any video surveillance, and how fast you can run.

Try printing these pages on T.P. then you can use them when your done reading. That way your not really wasting paper.
