I saw in a local paper that the ranchers are having trouble with coyotes. I was wandering what the chances would be of getting in touch with them? Is anyone from around there that might have some imformation? I would like to get in on some of that.

Contact the newspaper that ran the article. They might give you contact info on the ranchers involved. If not, ask them to forward your contact info to the ranchers. That's about the most you can do.

doghntr, last year I was at a Arizona Fish and Game meeting after they killed a bunch of coyotes from the air in the Aubrey Cliffs area. They did it for the antelope fawn survial and calf predatation. I asked them what it cost and they said a bunch. I then asked how would they like to make some money. I said make some special permits for night hunting and get the ranchers online in the area that you want to thin the coyote population. Sell the permits and you won't have to spend a lot of money and you'll make a few bucks and lower the coyote population all in one. They laughed at me. I guess it wasn't a good idea. DonL

I just heard today that some ranches near Elgin AZ in Cochise county had problems with coyote's...Also heard that they already have killed nearly 200 coyote's...No fair that they used a helicopter...lol I live about 20 miles from the area, so looks like I know where I am calling at this weekend...

I use to hunt up near skull valley and bagdad area just north of wickenburg. I never once had a rancher tell me no. Most of the time they acted like their prayers had been awnsered. Good luck
