i need all the information anyone can give me about bear hunting in Arkansas i know the season starts oct 1 st for their unit 1 im planning on hunting the Ozark Nat Forest any information at all will be helpful
 
Lots of bears, could possibly tell you more if I knew what town you were hunting close to.If you are hunting the White Rock Mountain area then I could help.
 
Cat killer, tell me what you can about whiterock ive hurd from someone else to check that out....just looking at the map i would guess jackson county
 
White Rock Mountain area of Franklin and Johnson counties in Northwest Arkansas are great bear hunting.There is a walk-in hunting area north of Shores Lake that is very good, anywhere around the small town of Oark north of Horsehead Lake too.These are mostly Ozark National Forest Lands but alot of Private land too.Be ready for some pretty rigorous excercise in alot of these areas.I know a family from Clarksville that killed 4 bears in one morning taking turns from the same stand all with bows in the Oark area.They have 100% success every year but if I told you exactly where ...I wouldn't have to kill you but they would kill me!!!! LOL!!!!I do alot of taxidermy work for these guys and I have been camping and deer hunting around there several times and we saw several bears, great habitat.That is a major bear hot spot in the state. Check it out.You might try calling the game wardens in those areas and chatting with them about it.
