The EP line is built in China with Jap glass. All the others built in China with Chinese glass. Reviews are good and cost isn't bad either. What say you that are using them? The only neg for me is the 34MM tube. Rings are hard to find around here and expensive.

I have a couple of their SH scopes. For the price they aren't bad. Glass could be better. Customer service is great and set on making the customer happy.
They also sell affordable yet descent rings.
I have a sh4 gen 2 6-24 in arken rings on a 300wm barrel for my encore and sh gen 2 4-16 in one of their 20moa mounts on a ruger precision rimfire 17hmr.

I've read about them and most comments are positive. I talked to a guy today and he uses one on a CZ MTR rimfire and really liked it. I was thinking about one for the CZ I just got.

I looked seriously at them looking for a.reasonably priced FFP scope to learn to use a FFP scope. They do make a 30mm scope that is much lighter also. I had to put that project on hold.for.a.while.

I was looking at the ELP-4 4-16 w/30mm tube weighs in at 24oz compared to the 34mm version at 34oz.

I just picked up an EP5 5-25x56 with Arkin rings and it will go on a .223 build for P-Dog hunting once I finish adding pillars and bedding the rifle.

In short, not much help as I need field use and time before making any judgement calls, but yes it's heavy at 39.2 oz. I do like the VPR reticle layout, the massive turrets, easy to read large numbers, and the simple zero stop that you can set without losing internal adjustments. However, the illumination is not daylight bright, but can see it early morning , evening and dark (doesn't wash out the image),

I also like the fact that Arkin puts the torque specs on their rings.

Yes. the EPL4 6-24x50 is a 30mm tube around 24.71 0z and EPL4 4-16X50 30mm tube around 24.11 oz, the reticles even though similar (VHR), it's much thicker as it was intended for hunting. I end up buying an S-Tac 4-20 because I like the mag range and more internal adjustment of the Tac.

First off, i'm not an expert - I have the EP 5-25x56 and for me, the zero stop works as it should and it holds through the dialing up. It's quite a piece of "meat" for a 22lr but is fun to shoot and using old eyes, can see a few holes in the paper.
