This is a cut off from the Maple I've been selling off. Good example of some of the burl.

Capped fore and aft with cocobolo. Mortise/Tennoned AND Laminated. 4" long overall. Egg shaped body, Polished deep into the bell and the mouthpiece.

I know there's LOTS of guys that can turn Maple better than me. Just thought I'd spin one up as an example! Enjoy!

I appreciate the words, fellers! The idea was a faberge(?sp) egg in the middle of a mouthpiece and a bell. Shows off the wood. Feels REAL nice in the hand too. Lanyard top or bottom. Oil and wax finish, NOT plastic coated.

I think I know who you are talking about, you are right, plenty in common. Actually, there are a lot of folks here that have much in common /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif. Unfortunately, there is a mess of uncommon ones moving in /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif.
