Auxiliary speaker for FoxPro

Looking to add a bell type speaker to my FoxPro to get more volume and range. Is there anything I should know or will most any speaker be satisfactory as long as it has the right jack or can be adapted to fit? And is an amplifier necessary?

IMO, it is hard to beat the SP-55. You might find something cheaper, but I doubt it will be better. It is seriously loud and clear, and tough.

Before you buy a SP55 take a look at a TOA610. The speaker at the heart of the Foxpro cs24 and WT 2030 series of calls. TOA610s can be found on eBay, the SP55 is on Foxpros site.

I was about to post a very similar question. I have the Wildfire2 and im torn between the SP55 and a toa610. If anybody has any experience with both which is louder and sounds better? I sifted through 10 pages of posts using the search feature and really couldnt find an answer. Is the foxpro 108z the same thing as a toa610? Sorry for all the questions, new to coyote hunting and calling. Thanks.

I have the SP-55 on my Scorpion and it works great! Only time I need it [beeep] is when it's realy windy.

I have also been wondering what speaker would be best.

The only toa610's that I find are white.

I was thinking earlier today that foxpro should offer one of the shockwave speakers for this sort of application.

I had a speaker I spray painted...I just put a paper cup over the cone. Didn't effect sound at all.

I have been wondering the same thing? Why not a speaker similar to the shockwave. The tweeter should really help.

i got a 8 ohms, 25w rms 50w max radio shack horn for my wildfire and it dont get any louder using it.
