B Square Mount

I am wanting to mount a red dot on my Benelli Super Black Eagle and i have been looking at the B square mounts. Are these really solid mounts for shotgunning? I use to have a rib mount but i do not know what happened to it, and i am wanting to get something sturdy enough that i wont lose my zero during turkey season...

Yes, It is a solid saddle mount, came w/ mounting screws, etc and worth every penny thus far (four months).

I use it on a Super Nova and If you look under the firearms section, Shotgun pattern testing (sticky)- page 31 , you'll see that I've done some pattern testing with it (different loads).

I put one on a buddies 870 a couple of years ago and it seemed pretty solid. He has not had any problems with it. I have a b-square mount for my sw629 classic and I really like how sturdy it is.

The only problem that I am worried about with mine is that if you look in TXCOONDOG's pic his mount has the two screws that will mount into the reciever of his gun, on my Benelli, there is only 1 pin in the reciever and on the mount there are two. It is confusing to me because I never really messed with it that much, after i mounted the truglo sights, but now I would really like to put a red dot on there.

Excuse my ignorance, but I am in favor for the B square mount, i just want to know how it fit. Could it be that they have the wrong one listed with 2 pins for my model, and it is suppose to have one?

Ok guys I apologize i just looked up on midway and they have a model that the 2nd screw goes under the reciever, the one at gander was wrongly listed because it looked like TXCOONDOG's mount...

Might look into the speedbead (lite weight) made by Burris as well.

With the speedbead, if the battery goes out or a failure happens you can still see the bead/sight.

The only reason that I didn't go with a red dot was because they looked blurry (vision problems)to me at the time which I have since corrected with glasses.

FYI- At night, I use tritium sights because it doesn’t add weight and I can see it in low/no light situations with no worries about batteries.

I know you're going to use it for Turkey hunting.......Just something to ponder (different options)!!

Good Luck with whatever you decide.
