Badger Trapping

I have seen several areas near where I live, that have badgers. My question is how do you set for them? Is it possible to live trap them? If so, what kind of bait would you use?

Just the same as for fox or coyote. You also can (in most states) use a conibear over a hole if they are in it.T.20

Ive got 2 of them in my coyote traps this year so far. They sure are a lot more work to skin and take care of than a coyote or a fox. Hopefully i dont get any more.

Heh, 15 years ago I got 3-5$ each for them, now it is a little better, some real good ones are close to or higher than a coyote.T.20

Anyone have any opinions or experience on live trapping them? Is it possible, and if so what to use for bait?

chiken or any kind of bird meat has proven best for me for badgers they allways get to it b4 coyotes and bobcats do, and maybe kinda cover up the cage trap with brush or put in in somewhat of a thicket or bye sagebrush. i'd usually tie a bird wing with meat on it or a leg back behind the cage trap trigger so there standign on it trying to get the meat rather than taking the meat off of it,
