Badgers in Utah

I was just wondering if anyone out there has been able to find any badgers (in northern Utah). I have been trying for a few years now to get me a badger for a rug mount and I haven't been able to locate one. The last time I even saw a badger was about 3 years ago on a camping/yote hunting trip in the west desert. Of course since I didn't have my permit I saw 2 in one weekend. Both were within about 50 yards of the truck and since I am a law abiding citizen I wasn’t about to shot them without my fur bearers permit. I went out and got my permit but haven't seen a badger since. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I might find one? Any advice at all would be appreciated.

Good, I wouldn't give specifics either. I was hoping that someone somewhere had seen some. Hopefully this means that I'm just not looking hard enough and that Utah still has a few to be had. Has anyone else been able to find some?

thanks everyone you've given me new hope. I cant wait to get out there and find me a new rug. Its been a goal of mine for awhile now and I really want to cross it off the list.

Saw quite a few up by Whitney Reservior in the Uintah's. Just on the south west side of the reservior. Saw a couple really nice big bad looking ones! I don't hunt bagders so I don't mind sharing this with you ! Good luck!

We have quite a few badgers in southwestern Idaho. We have found some almost anywhere while hunting coyotes but when you find an area with a good population you will find a bunch of holes. Badgers dig a lot of holes...
