Does anyone hunt with a Badlands superday pack? I have been wanting to buy one but they are pretty expensive. It looks like a great pack for long day hunts. Any feedback to help me with my purchase would be appreciated.
I've been looking hard at packs lately. I'm down to this pack, the badlands 2200 and the Blacks Creek Western. Their all spendy, but wear a cheap pack with an elk head an quarter on it, and you'll wish you step it up a bit. Right now, I'm leaning toward the Blacks Creek.
I have the badlands and yes they are spendy but they are nice They hold weight well too I mostly use the superday but also have a smaller one can't think of the name of it but the next one I'm gone buy is the Ox for packing out my elk this year. Not sure about the other one your looking at but the superday has a gun or bow scabbard I use it for my bow when packing in early in the morning.
i own and use the superday pack for big game hunting, i use the scabbard works great. it'll hold my rifle and bow. i have used it the past three years and it is still holding up. it packs enough for an all day outing and it is comfortable to carry. i also own a monster pack which is badlands big waist pack, and just like the superday pack it is tough as nails. the monster pack works great as a predator pack. can't go wrong with a badlands pack.
Got my superday pack last week and I love it. Carried it on 6 stands and it performed well. Comfortable and easily held all my gear. I really like the sidearm holster on the waist belt. I haven't used the rifle scabbord yet but Im sure Ill like that too. Thanks for the input guys.
I ordered one today at noon from Santana Outdoors. Free shipping and 2 free bonus items, I choose the Bladder and a Ultralight First Aid Kit. Can't go wrong there. Received shipping info from Fedex this evening that it has been picked and will be headed my way, look forward to using it this coming weekend.
I have one and love it. Very well thought out design and comfortable to wear. Better to pay more and get what is a proven working design than pay almost as much and wish you had a Super Day.
I have the 2200 and love it. Rides well and has room for a variety of gear and tough enough to carry an elk quarter tied off to it. They are great packs. My son has the next larger size with the expandable pocket that is advertised to hold a moose quarter. We have used these packs for two years and they are top notch.
